Motorists are being advised of future closures on the A12 at Ingatestone starting Monday, March 8.
Resurfacing and maintenance work will take place on the dual carriageway for 10 nights between Maryland Interchange (junction 12) and Webbs Farm Interchange (junction 15).
The northbound track will be closed from Monday, March 8 to Saturday March, 13 and the southbound road will be closed from Monday, March 15 to Saturday, March 20.
The closures will be from 9pm to 5am.
As well as resurfacing, cats-eyes and filter drains will be renewed and white lines repainted.
Highways Agency Project Manager, Henry Smith, said: "We are carrying out the work overnight to minimise any delay, however drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys as a diversionary route will be in place."
