It was a dream come true for new Southend singing sensation Maurice Siegel.

The 71-year-old pensioner was the centre of attention for a host of new fans when he appeared at Club La Costa in Warrior Square.
Maurice - who has billed himself as the Unknown Superstar - has received several bookings since appearing on last month's ITV show, It Shouldn't Happen On a TV Talent Show.
Maurice closed the show with his version of the Dave Clark Five's classic hit Glad All Over. But Maurice, from Hamlet Court Road, changed Glad to Gladys.
