Woman's best friend - Mrs Hawlent with her poodle, Suquie
Mrs Hawlent had been on her way to lock the back door when she fell at around midnight on February 24.
She suffers from cerebral palsy, which prevented her from getting up, and a sore throat prevented her shouting for help.
Determined Suquie barked continuously for an hour until Mrs Hawlent's neighbours realised that something was wrong and found her.
Mrs Hawlent's carer, Doreen Buxton, said: "She is so lucky to have Suquie. But for her, Brenda would have been there until 7.30am, when the carer arrived."
