Forgotten man Pat Baldwin could be in line for a rare first team appearance as Colchester United set out to complete a Layer Road double winning week against Division two high-flyers Hartlepool tomorrow.
The lofty 21-year-old former Chelsea central defender has made just two starts this season at home to Bristol City last August and at Rotherham in the Carling Cup in September.
He has also made another four short appearances as a substitute, but almost disappeared right out of the picture early in November.
"Pat has been excellent this season," said U's boss Phil Parkinson as he sets out to get his over-worked squad back on the promotion play-off track.
"He's been good to have around the place even though he hasn't been playing first team football and he's been very unlucky not to have more games."
The U's will go into tomorrow's tough home clash with Hartlepool minus the services of injured duo Karl Duguid and Scott McGleish, plus the suspended Craig Fagan.
