Hidden cameras and extra patrols have led to so many arrests that police have decided to continue an anti-yob operation indefinitely.
Operation Breaker, launched a month ago on Canvey, has led to about 30 arrests as police step up their war against anti-social behaviour.
Last week alone, police made nine arrests, including one for the possession of an offensive weapon.
Insp Steve Rawlings from Canvey police said: "The operation is still ongoing because of the success we have had in the first couple of weeks. We want to continue with the positive work and there is no fixed time of when the scheme will stop."
The operation uses 24-hour hidden cameras with 16 extra officers patrolling the island.
The aim of the operation is to catch culprits red-handed on tape as well as provide independent evidence where statements from the public may not be given because of their fear of repercussions.
The operation has tackled the main hot spots on the island and the cameras are continually moved around.
Mr Rawlings said: "Since the operation was launched we have had 15 arrests for public order offences.
"In the last week we have had nine arrests for crimes which included criminal damage."
