A pair of burglaries took place at Dunmow homes in the same road last week with expensive televisions stolen in both.
The first of the Godfrey Way burglaries occurred on Wednesday March 31 between 7pm and 11pm while the occupants were out.
The owner returned home to find the front door open a £4000 plasma screen television stolen. It appeared a kitchen window was forced
Then on Sunday April 4 thieves broke in to a second house with Lladro ornaments, jewellery and a flat screen television taken.
PC Dave Rout said Godfrey Way was the scene of a spate of burglaries last year.
