Despite Scott Witney giving Tiptree the lead, Jam-makers boss Neil Farlie admitted he was just grateful to get a point at the end of his side's 1-1 draw with Mildenhall.

"In the second half Mildenhall looked the livlier team and there were moments where they could have snatched it," said Farlie.

The home team had gone ahead when Craig Newman's corner was headed on to the far post by Alex Snow and Witney pounced to scramble the ball past the keeper after 20 minutes.

It was Tiptree's first real effort in a match that was kept in the middle of the park for the majority of the first half.

The visitors looked to amend the damage and they did just before the hour mark as they finally finished off what they had threatened to do since the restart.
