Low-fares airline easyJet has increased the number of routes it flies to from Belfast, and has announced plans to extend its Gatwick service.
The carrier, which has a base at Stansted, has set up the new routes and more frequent services as a direct result of a programme called the Air Route Development Scheme.
The scheme, developed by the Northern Ireland Authorities Initiative, aims to improve the provision of air services in the province.
Ray Webster, easyJet chief executive, said: "We are delighted that the Government has shown such pro-active support to the airline industry."
