A cat knew exactly where to go when it went missing Clacton police station.
Tiny, the 19-year-old black and white cat, went missing four weeks ago when her owner Rose Jump was away visiting her daughter and her nephew was cat-sitting in Ellis Road, Clacton.
Mrs Jump, of Chapman Road, Clacton, said: "My nephew had her on the Friday, and on the Sunday I got a phone call to say she had got out."
She returned on Tuesday and started searching the streets for her cat.
Mrs Jump placed an advert in the Evening Gazette and put a notice up in a supermarket in the town.
She said she got a call from someone who spotted a cat matching Tiny's description in the Pallister Road area.
"I walked all around there the other night calling her," Mrs Jump said.
But, unknown to her owner, for the past three weeks Tiny has been wandering into the yard at Clacton police station looking for food and attention.
Luckily, Mrs Jump went to the police station to see if anyone had reported finding a cat and was told one had been seen in the area.
Then, to her joy, she had a phone call from the police to say the cat had returned to the station.
Elaine Seymour, spokeswoman for Clacton police, said officers fed Tiny and made sure she was healthy.
