Bill Hutchin deserves a drink after giving up booze for 40 days and 40 nights to raise cash for charity.
Down the hatch - charity fundraiser Bill Hutchin ends his extended self-imposed drought with a cooling draught of beer at his local, the Lighthouse in Benfleet Picture: MAXINE CLARKE
The Canvey man, who admits he is rather fond of a pint or two, decided to take up the challenge to raise money for research into cancer and Parkinson's disease.
By means of the stunt he has managed to raise nearly £1,100.

He says he will now be slowly easing himself back into proper drinking once more.
