A large crowd is expected at Thurrock's Ship Lane ground tomorrow for the derby with Canvey (1pm).
Victory for the visitors will finally see the islanders crowned as champions of the Ryman Premier Division after three straight years of finishing runners-up.
Some Gulls' fans would be happy to see their heroes return with a draw and the title be clinched in a carnival atmosphere against Billericay Town at Park Lane on Easter Monday (12 noon), but Jeff King's men want to get the prize under their belts as quickly as possible.
Tuesday's 2-1 win at Kingstonian left Canvey needing just two points from their remaining eight league games to be certain of the title.
But they will not be given an easy ride by tomorrow's hosts. Thurrock are engaged in an absorbing battle with Hendon to finish runners-up.
