Film and TV actor Nigel Havers was revealed as the second guest celebrity to be waiting in the wings for the Cliffs Pavilion production The Play What I Wrote.
Surprise! - Nigel thrilled the Cliffs Picture: DAVE HENDERSON
The show, an affectionate tribute to the Morecombe and Wise comedy team, is on a national tour following a West End run of more than two years.
Denise van Outen kicked off the show's Southend run with appearances on Monday and Tuesday. Nigel Havers will be followed by a third, as yet unnamed, celebrity for the final two nights.
Nigel said: "It's a lovely show and enormous fun to appear in. I have been asked to do it a number of times now, and doing it on the odd night here and there fits in quite well."
