The 35-year-old Harlequins prop, who comes from Barking and was a member of England's triumphant Rugby World Cup-winning team in Australia, visited the Benfleet school as part of the o2-sponsored Rugbyclass coaching course.

Sixty children attended the programme and picked up a number of valuable tips from Leonard, who quit the international scene with England after the recent Six Nations tournament.

Leonard made 114 appearances for England over 14 years.
