Phil Parkinson said today his Colchester United squad will have to be 'right on top of their game' if they are to enjoy an Easter double over relegation-threatened Notts County and Brentford.

The U's play second-from-bottom County at Layer Road tomorrow followed by a trip to the Bees just one place above the Magpies at Griffin Park on Monday.

Parkinson told the Evening Gazette: "Many people look at these two games on paper and think they're going to be an easy six points.

"But it's that time of the season again and, in reality, they couldn't be further from that. They will be two of our toughest games.

"In Notts County and Brentford we have two teams fighting for their very lives to stay up and if they produce that extra edge, we will have to produce something special to beat them.

"Furthermore, if we beat them we will definitely be safe from relegation and we'll open up a massive gap between them and us."

Victory over their bottom three opponents would not only ensure Division Two football at Layer Road for the U's again next season, it would also hoist them to within one point of last term's final tally of 58.

Wayne Andrews, 14 goals for the season, will miss out because of a three-match suspension following his red card for violent conduct two weeks ago against Peterborough.
