Bus passengers will be faced with finding alternative services after a timetable shake-up by Arriva.
The company has announced it is withdrawing some services and altering others, but it is also extending other routes.
Among the casualties are the Saturday services on route 3, which runs from The Hythe to Lakelands in Stanway via the town centre.
Also facing the chop is 2A High Woods to North Station in peak periods. In future, it will run from 9.30am to 3.30pm and become hourly. Arriva said not enough people use the service, and alternative routes are available.
The Colchester Bus Users' Support Group (C-Bus) said it regrets the company's decision to axe the services.
