Borough of Southend swimmer Nathalie Brown got her first taste of action in the Olympic trials at Sheffield yesterday.
Brown finished ninth in the women's 400m individual medley heats, thus failing to qualify for the finals.
But Brown will be hoping to make the final in tomorrow's 800m freestyle event at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.
Basildon swimmer Grace Francis has had a busy time competing at the Olympic.
The talented teenager, who swims for Chelmsford SC, has been gaining experience by swimming against the leading names in British swimming as they bid to secure places for Athens this summer.
