People have been flocking to Markhams Chase leisure centre to have a wash following the gas blunder.

Steve Cavanagh, 31, of Little Lullaway, is just one of the hundreds who have been without gas since last Thursday.
He was advised by Basildon Council to go to the centre and use the wash facilities opened for residents.
He said: "After four days without a bath I was getting desperate."
