Picturesque gardens behind Colchester's Mercury Theatre could one day be turned into new rehearsal studios.
The popular theatre is growing short of rehearsal space for productions, according to chief executive Dee Evans.

The need for extra rehearsal space is not pressing at the moment but could become more so in the future, she said.
