Youngsters are stealing expensive projection equipment from schools and offices to enhance their computer game experience.
Schools in south Essex have been hit by a spate of projector thefts in the past few months, apparently so young people can stream their computer games through them.
Southend PC Simon Puttock said: "It is believed that the projectors are being sold cheaply to be used to project computer games against walls."
