A manhunt for a serial flasher was today stepped up a gear after police expressed their fear he may soon commit a more serious offence.
There have been at least six reports since March of the culprit jumping out of a bush and flashing his private parts to school girls - some as young as 11 - in Pitsea.
Investigating officer PC John Beard said: "Our main concern is this man is getting closer and closer to his victims before pulling down his trousers and exposing his private parts.
"We think it is only a matter of time before it gets more serious. He will only get turned on by flashing for so long."
