Two games were staged - the first between a Dean Wells XI, consisting of current and former staff and ex students, and a Ronnie Bridges XI.
This was made up of current students studying on the sports degree and sports science courses.
In very hot conditions both teams were very competitive and the older more experienced staff team held their own for long periods of the game.
As the match wore on the student team began to create lots of opportunities and James Kelly, a second year sport degree student, scored from a well-placed shot.
However, the staff fought back and Adam Moore, a former BND sports student, scored and the game ended 1-1.
The second game was a very even encounter between year one national diploma and first diploma students.
Both had chances to win the game with Paul Raffety and James Butler going closest for the first diploma students. But their efforts found the woodwork and in the end a 0-0 draw was a fair result.
