Stuart Gregory is celebrating after a double round of national and regional glory.

The fighter from Rayleigh's Shin Gi Tai Shotokan Karate Club took a bronze medal in the kumite class at the UK Championships in Birmingham, and has earned a place in the KUGB under-21 England squad as well as helping England to third in the Grand Slam at Chesterfield.
Gregory and Abbie Harding also claimed Southern regional titles at the KUGB championships in Reading, teaming up with Lauren Gregory to land a team kata bronze.
Also winning bronze were Bradley Bains (kumite) and Stuart Gregory (kata) while Lee Milbourne (kata) picked up a fantastic silver.
Anyone interested in joining the club should call 01268 792900. They meet at Love Lane School's new hall at 7pm on Mondays and Castle Hall, Castle Road, at 7.30pm on Fridays. Adults and children are welcome.
