A teenager has been banned from driving and will have to serve 150 hours of community punishment after being convicted of dangerous driving.
He was seen by police doing hand-break turns and wheelspins in a Chelmsford car park, a court heard.
Bradley Rogers, 19, from Anchor Reach, South Woodham Ferrers, admitted dangerous driving in Debenham's car park on March 20 after appearing before magistrates in Chelmsford.
Lorraine Webb, prosecuting, said a silver Ford Fiesta driven by Rogers was seen performing U-turns, hand-break turns and wheelspins in the half-full car park at 9.25pm on a Saturday night.
She told the court Rogers had admitted to police he had four passengers and was "driving like an idiot in front of some girls".
