The annual Havering Games, held at the Hornchurch Pool, is a unique competition hosted and run by the Havering Cormorants and organised by Chief Coach Ian McCleod.

With ten teams of up to 10 divers - covering novice, intermediate, and age group level events - there is something for everyone.

The age group divers have to perform a selection of dives from the 1m, 3m and 5m boards - within a single event - and encourages the divers to 'have a go' at something new.

In the 16-18 yrs age group Faye Ratcliff and Danny Osborne took the opportunity to compete a few of their harder optional dives as part of their preparation for the National Age Group events to be held in Southampton in early June.

Fay did a great backwards 2 somersaults, and Danny an excellent reverse 2 somersaults on their way to taking a gold medal each in their respective events.

Vicky Stoneham 13/14yrs, used her newly learned dive - a backwards 1 somersaults piked that scored the highest in her list, rounding off a solid performance and was rewarded with a gold medal.

Lottie Thompson showed her fighting spirit in winning her gold medal in the 13/14yrs event after a frustrating warm-up session that she put behind her when she started competing.
