An RSPCA inspector has been given the runaround by five wild guinea pigs.
They have been dumped in an area of waste ground in Lodge Lane, Tendering.
Jim Farr went out to pick them up and discovered two dead guinea pigs and did see others but was unable to catch them as they were not tame.
He has set a humane cat trap and hopes to catch them quickly. The dead ones were both fly-struck, but may have been killed by a fox.
Anybody with information on who dumped the guinea pigs should ring Insp Farr on 08705555999.
