A man was today recovering in hospital after his car overturned on the A12.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, was driving along the Colchester-bound A12 at Witham at 8.30pm yesterday when his car overturned and left the road.
It came to rest on its roof in a field next to the A12.
The driver was removed from the vehicle using a neck collar and spinal board.
An ambulance spokesman said he was conscious throughout and was treated for possible internal injuries before being taken to Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford.
