The RSPCA needs the help of eagle eyed residents in Harold to help track down the cruel owners of a neglected greyhound who was tied to sign post and left to die.
The starving male greyhound was found in Patternosta Row, Noak Hill, near the footpath to Havering village, by a passer by who called the RSPCA and inspector Peter Puchalla took the dog to a vet for urgent treatment.
The dog is now being cared for at the RSPCA Southridge Animal Centre and is eating well and starting to recover from its ordeal.
The RSPCA believe the animal had been badly neglected by its owners weeks before it was left helplessly tied to the sign post.
Not only was the dog underweight and dehydrated but it was suffering from a bad skin condition which meant it was in a lot of discomfort.
An RSPCA spokesman said: "We need to hear from anyone who might have seen the people carrying out this cruel act."
If you can help call the RSCPA on 08705 555999. All calls will be treated in confidence.
