The future of more than 50 jobs have been secured in Clacton with the management buyout of a major holiday firm.

Anthony Staines, who inherited Crusader Holidays from his father Roger three years ago, has decided to sell the company.

It has been bought by Mike Holden, who has been hotel contracts manager for the past five years, Mike Drinkwater, reservations manager, and Geoff Clarkson.

The price tag of the deal has not been disclosed.

Managing director Mr Holden said they had been looking at a deal for about six months.

"Anthony wanted to sell and because of the quality nature of the firm we were obviously very interested," he said.
