Beach hut vandalism at Frinton is increasing.
The resort's beach hut owners' association said it has suffered the second worst year since records began.
Patrol officers report vandalism occurred on 55 days with a total of 139 incidents of damage to huts.
The worst year was 2002-2003 when the figures were 87 and 229.
The association criticised the 28 per cent increase in site fees and had called for a meeting with Tendring Council.
The association is due to hold its annual meeting on June 12 at Walton's Columbine Centre at 2.30pm.
