More than a year's hard work has resulted in a football club's arson-hit premises rising like a phoenix from the ashes.
Braintree's Sporting 77 football team held a footballing fun day to mark the unveiling of their newly revamped changing room and clubhouse.
Players paid a fee to take part in matches at the club's grounds in Deanery Hill, Bocking.
The happy day marked the culmination of more than a year's hard work after arsonists caused thousands of pounds of damage to the premises in March last year.
About £700 raised by the fun day will help meet the care and transport needs of former Sporting 77 centre half Matt Green, of Blackmore End, who was paralysed from the neck down after a car accident last year.
