Maureen, 38, joined an intrepid group of fundraisers in trekking to the base camp of the world's tallest mountain for the children's mobility charity Whizzkidz, raising £3,500 for charity.
After returning to her home in Mopsies Road, Basildon, Maureen said: "There were 38 people on our trip and we have raised a total of £209,000 between us, which is great. It was absolutely amazing to climb Mount Everest."
