Rocker Rod Stewart and girlfriend Penny Lancaster swept into town yesterday, bringing traffic to a standstill as they undertook some retail therapy.

The shopping trip to designer boutique D'Marie in Westcliff also had fans swarming around the showbiz couple.
And the pair took time out to chat to the fans and sign autographs.
