Great Wakering Rebels, away to Colchester Stars, suffered mixed cycle speedway fortunes in two matches.

The lost an exciting and hard-fought league affair 95-67, but won a junior clash by four points.

Winning the junior competition allowed Rebels to continue a trend that has seen them triumph back to 1997 --apart from one draw.

Rebels' juniors Tom and Rhys Naylor and Wayde Davies had their points scored in the league affair added to the two junior races which gave them a 22-18 points win.
