Run of roach - Del Smee and his 53lb haul from Doggetts
The week started well with Leigh angler Marc Smith fishing the south bank, landing seven carp and 10 tench.
Amongst his haul Marc landed three twenties, including one common, plus three upper doubles and one small common on ten pounds.
Despite breaking a rod, Southend's Joe Crowe enjoyed a night on the south bank landing four tench, a 14lb mirror, plus a superb 16.5lb fully scaled specimen.
Dave Leoper fished a session on the short arm and was delighted with an 18lb mirror, plus bream and tench.
Doggetts members Dave Roskilly and Wayne Hudson have landed numerous tench this year, but have struggled to locate carp, although they did manage three mirrors to 13lb.
The float fishermen have enjoyed good mixed sport with tench boosting the weight of most bags.
