The future of a skatepark for Canvey will no longer be a mystery after two clairvoyants offered to help with fundraising.

Clairvoyants Grace Kennedy and Daniel Pitt have agreed to hold a charity evening on July 1 at the Paddocks, in Long Road, Canvey.

All proceeds will go towards a £100,000 skate park to be built on land next to Waterside Farm, in Somnes Avenue.

PC Jess Fisher, who is on the skatepark committee, said: "We are trying all sorts of things to raise money. We want to appeal to different people of all age ranges.

"Somebody suggested to hold a clairvoyant evening, so we contacted them and they very kindly agreed to do it for the skateboard park."

The plans for the skate park, to be built are supported by Canvey 2000, Essex Police, Essex County Council's youth service, and Castle Point Council, who have all raised cash for it.

Tickets for the clairvoyant evening are £4 in advance and and £5 on the night.
