Eva's favourite - restaurant owner Paul Van Looy will greet the cortege Picture: STEVE O'CONNELL
At least two or three times a week Eva Clark, 81, was taken by her son Dave to Van Looy's Restaurant on Southend seafront for an icecream.
However, Eva peacefully died in her sleep on June 6 and as a special tribute, mourners were today due to stop at the restaurant for a famous Rossi's cornet before her funeral.
Restaurant owner Paul Van Looy said: "The first I knew was when her son came in and asked if it was OK for her and the mourners to stop en route to the funeral.
"He's already calling it the Last Cornet."
