Masked men have ram-raided two north Essex village businesses.
Damage - workmen boarding up the front of the Co-op store in High Street, Dedham, following today's ram raid (36487-1)
First, they smashed a stolen Land Rover into the Co-op in Dedham High Street, but they failed in their attempts to drag the cash machine out.
Then they drove a stolen car into the front window of the Q8 petrol station in Colchester Road, Weeley.
They managed to drag a free-standing cash machine into a getaway car, escaping with £5,000.
Finally, at 3am, masked men reversed a green Isuzu Trooper into a Co-op store in Norwich Road, Claydon, near Ipswich, and tried, but failed, to take the cash machine in exactly the same way as in Dedham.
