Police are hunting a man who indecently assaulted an 11-year-old schoolgirl in broad daylight.
The girl was walking along Old Road in Clacton. She was followed by her assailant and was attacked in an alleyway running from Key Road.
The man put his hand across the girl's mouth and kissed her on the cheek. She then managed to break free and run away from her attacker down the road.
The girl was very shaken by her ordeal but was otherwise unhurt. Investigating officer, DC Richard Bell said police were keen to catch the man as quickly as possible and are appealing for help from the public.
