Former Southend United defender Neil Jenkins will today sign for Conference side Crawley Town.
Jenkins was released from his Roots Hall contract in May after making 61 appearances for League Two outfit.
But the ex-England U20 International is now relishing teaming up with the Broadfield Stadium side after also holding discussions with Conference newcomers Canvey Island.
"I want to play regular first team football at this stage of my career," said the 22-year-old.
"I need games right now and that's why I've decided to go into the Conference."
