Richard Fitch wants to repay the faith shown by ARW Suzuki by turning in a top-ten performance at the Maxxis British Motocross Championships.
Fordham's Fitch will be competing against the countries elite on his 250cc Suzuki bike at Little Loveney Hall in Wakes Colne on Sunday and is hoping to make a big impression.
The 20-year-old said: "Because I'm signed up with a team this year I have automatically qualified for the championships.
"ARW Suzuki are a new team and they wanted a young rider that would be a good person to work with so they approached me to find out whether I would sign up and join them.
"I was really pleased as I knew that I always deserved to ride for a team.
"You have to know the right people to progress in motocross and I've been given a great opportunity and I want to make the most of it."
