Angelic voices will be singing to help raise money for vulnerable children and young people.

Giving it their all - teacher Paula McManus and pupils Oliver Bettell-Higgins and Layla Steadman with other members of Frobisher Primary School's choir.

The sweet voices from Frobisher Primary School's choir are heading for the bright lights of the big city, where they will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Paula McManus, music co-ordinator at the Jaywick school, said the 24-strong choir would be one of about 25 others taking part in the Barnardo's Essex Young Supporters concert today.

The first half of the concert will be a medley of songs and dance going through the ages, and the second half will be songs from the hit musical Scrooge.

She said the pupils, aged between seven and 11, had been rehearsing for the concert since June.
