Shoebury golf pro Richard McEvoy faces a gruelling six days as he attempts to keep his European Tour playing card.
Twelve months ago former Thorpe Hall Walker Cup amateur McEvoy won the European Tour qualifying school final in magnificent style.
However, after his first season at the highest level, the likeable 25-year-old has it all to do again.
This year's qualifier final, which started today, is at the San Roque Club, Cadiz, in Spain and McEvoy joins a field of 168 chasing just 35 full places on the 2005 main tour.
