Basildon's Stuart Bingham pulled off one of the great wins of his career at the Brighton Centre last night when he rocked six-times world champion Steve Davis.
The new towner edged the best-of-nine frames match with one of the game's all-time greats 5-4 to win a place in the last 16 of the British Open Championship at the Sussex seaside town.
Bingham has an excellent chance of making the quarter-finals later today as his next opponent is virtual unknown Barry Hawkins rather than former world champion Peter Ebdon, who suffered a shock reversal on Tuesday.
