World-famous children's author Mick Inkpen took a break from writing to open an extension at Nayland Primary School.

The creator of the Kipper books cut the ribbon on a new nursery and library, which have been added to the 110-pupil school in Bear Street, Nayland.
Headteacher Raegan Delaney said: "It was fantastic. Mick Inkpen writes all the Kipper books. He's probably the most prolific and famous writer for under-fives in this country, and internationally."
