Motorists faced traffic misery this morning after two vehicles were involved in a collision, blocking off both lanes on one side of Balkerne Hill, Colchester.

The accident happened just after 8.30am, and queues of cars quickly formed behind the vehicles.
PC Steve Wood, of Stanway road traffic unit, said neither driver was injured in the incident. Police were called to help move the vehicles.
He added traffic was also very congested at Clingoe Hill on the A133 today, due to the roadworks at the bridge over the A120 at Great Bromley.
