Rubie Planson may only be nine years old, but she is not someone you would want to mess with when it comes to karate.
The Canvey Junior School pupil has capped a recent run of medals with a hat-trick of golds at the French Open 04 in Paris.
Rubie took top spot in three weapons categories and added four silvers for fighting, team, form and creative weapons.
And the girl nicknamed Da Taz because her family reckon she is ferocious like a Tasmanian devil in competition also left the French capital with a bronze for hand forms traditional.
"We are so proud of what she has achieved," said mum Tina Planson.
