A BAN on fox hunting in England and Wales now looks inevitable after MPs, including staunch supporter Angela Smith, MP for Basildon and East Thurrock, rejected a last-ditch compromise last night.
The Commons voted by 321 to 204 to reject a deal that could have allowed regulated hunting of foxes to continue.
Mrs Smith said: "I voted for a complete ban on fox hunting."
