A Colchester anti-drugs partnership is offering help to users and people with worries about crime.
Leaflets are being sent out in the Hythe and Greenstead areas to give people advice on how to report information about drug dealing.
The flyers also give information about preventing crime and getting help to recover from a drug addiction.
At the same time, Open Road, working with Beacon House and NEEDAS, is running a drop-in centre for drug users at its Queen Street base.
It will be open for advice, treatment and support from 4pm to 6pm, Mondays to Saturdays, until Friday, November 26.
All the organisations involved in the effort belong to the Colchester Drug and Alcohol Reference Group (Darg).
Information on drug issues is also available on the Darg website www.colchester-drug-alcohol.org.uk
