A HAVE-A-GO grandad has seen off a pair of thugs who mugged his grandson.
Griffith Griffiths, 81, bravely chased down the two yobs, who had threatened his grandson, Andrew, before stealing his bike and mobile phone.
Griffith said: "I didn't think anything of it, I just chased after them and they dropped the stolen items and cleared off.
"I wasn't scared at all, I was in the army during the war and have seen far worse than this."
Andrew, 15, had just left his grandparents house on Sunday afternoon with his friend Matthew, when the attack happened in the alleyway behind Palmerston Road.
