A petition to cut road deaths is close to being signed by more than 300 people.
Bridge Street Motorcycles, Witham, began a campaign to highlight safety for motorcyclists in August.
The idea was formed after Colchester biker Boz Boswick asked for a change in the way the rules of the road are enforced.
Alan Hunt, of Bridge Street Motorcycles, said: "We'll have about 300 signatures. I'll give the list to Boz and I think he's spoken about taking it to Whitehall.
"We encourage people to buy the correct clothes and not skimp on safety. Some of the younger ones who have just passed their test sometimes want bikes that are really too powerful for them."
Over the past weekend two motorcyclists lost their lives following accidents.
